what is Francis Hydro Turbine ?
The water flow of the Francis turbine flows into the runner from the horizontal direction around the turbine to the center (radially enters), and then turns to the downward exit. The water flows into the runner and pushes the runner when passing through the blades in the direction of the axis, while passing downwards The blades also push the runner. That is to say, the water flow does work when passing through the blades in the radial and axial directions, so it is called a Francis turbine, also known as a radial axial flow turbine.
